My dad, Rodli Pederson, (who is 68) has always been interested in technology. He lives in North Dakota and has been making all kinds of awesome short videos and posting them on Revver. http://revver.com/u/rodli/ Some highlights include: * Ancient Robot War (and sequels!) - which is a video he made with these little metal wind up robots that he's had since he was a little boy - now set to the music of 2001: The Space Odyssey * There's one up there right now about Barrel Racing, shot live at the ND Winter Show rodeo * Several travel videos - interviewing fellow passengers on Amtrak and at a winery when he came to the Bay Area to visit me. He makes these on his Mac and really works hard to pick some fun music and sfx for each one. Also he is on Skype and other IM, he's on Facebook, he's an accomplished traveler (rode his bike through Europe in 1959 and taught English in Saudi Arabia in the 60s). He's been interested in home computing since the 80s - we had a Tandy Color Computer and later an Amiga before he ever bought a Windows-compatible computer or a Mac.

MISS RODEO
This young lady is the reigning Miss Rodeo ND Winter Show. She gives up her title on March 7, 2009 after a year of traveling around North Dakota.

GREAT PLAINS ASSISTANCE DOG FOUNDATION
This foundation trains dogs. They are located in the tiny village of Jud, North Dakota. I encountered them at the ND Winter Show in Valley City,ND. They had their dogs with as part of the dog's training to keep them callm in crowds.

DRAFT HORSE PULL & COLORADO KID
This is from the North Dakota Winter Show. It depicts draft horses (Percherons,Belgians and Clydesdales) pulling weights. When the judge drops the paddle the horses hear that and begin pulling. These are competition style highly trained horses. The team and their leaders the teamsters are judged on how much and how far they pull the weights.

BARREL RACE
Barrel racing is a form of rodeo event in which a horse and rider attempt to complete a pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time. It is primarily a rodeo event for women.
The sport in itself consists of horse and rider combining the horse's athletic ability and the superb horsemanship skills of the riders in order to safely and successfully maneuver their horses in a clover leaf pattern around three barrels (typically three fifty-five gallon metal barrels, but as long as the size and shape of the barrel is accurate, different material can be used.) placed in a triangle in the center of an arena.
